Death in the Jungle
Death in the Delta
Master Chief

All three books published in New York by Ivy Books in 1994, 1996 and 1996 respectively. All are pocket paperbacks in FINE condition. All are SIGNED by Smith. Smith noted “1st”, “2nd” and “3rd” in hand to indicate the order of publication. (this was done in different color ink than the signature because they were signed at a different time than when the notation was done).

Smith (1941-2009) was a member of Underwater Demolition Team 12 and Seal Team 1. He rose to the rank of Master Chief, the highest enlisted rank. Smith went on 257 combat missions in Vietnam and he vividly captures the nightmare of a jungle war. A no-holds-barred account that is not pretty but for which Smith makes no apologies.
