Walter Dalrymple Maitland Bell, was an intrepid adventurer, known as "Karamojo" due to his extraordinary elephant-hunting exploits in the Karamojo province of Uganda and elsewhere. This was his first book and is considered by many to be the greatest of all elephant hunters. This book is primarily a collection of essays and stories about Bell's elephant hunting but also buffalo and lion.
