The book's content has been described as "explosive and revealing".  And its publication sent shock waves through Tyler. In turn, unnamed “community members” mounted an effort to deny local access to the book in what can only be described as a remarkable display of transparency (I am joking).  The sensitive yet anonymous community members apparently took exception to the depiction of Tyler, county seat of Smith County as anything other than the “perfect” town or county.
