Prose Sketches to accompany the series of paintings by Frank Reaugh entitled Twenty Four Hours with the Herd
This booklet gives commentary on seven paintings by Reaugh. The paintings: Driving the Herd, Watering the Herd, Bedding the Herd, Guarding the Herd, The Stampede in the Canyon, Milling Cattle, and The Herd Moves On. In the Foreword, Reaugh wrotes the paintings were “reminscient of my first trips to the western plains, in the early eighties, where it was still a free-grass country…The barbed wrie had not come yet: nor the nester: nor the sheep.”
