I Attacked Pearl Harbor

Description Additional info Product reviews

The memoir of a Japanese Naval officer who participated in the attack on Pearl Harbor as the commander of one of five two-man midget submarines.  The other nine crewmen were killed.  Sakamaki became P.O.W. #1 and was interned for the rest of the war.  This book offers a firsthand account of the run-up to the attack that brought America into WWII. It is related from the perspective of a Japanese combatant who was actually part of the leading edge of the attack.  A very hard-to-find book especially with its original—and elusive—dustjacket.

New York:  Association Press, 1949. 1st edition. 133 pages. Hardcover book in dustjacket. The book is VERY GOOD or better with age toning to the front and rear endpapers and pastedowns.  Dustjacket is VERY GOOD but has chipping and wrinkling to the edges and some scuffing; however, it is fully intact and the color remains vibrant.
