East Texas Mill Towns & Ghost Towns, a 3-volume set

Description Additional info Product reviews

The 1880s to the 1920s was a golden era of lumbering. There were hundreds of sawmills located in towns scattered all over East Texas. This is the most comprehensive anthology of East Texas sawmill towns and ghost towns ever assembled.  It is the result of hours and hours spent by W.T. Block . Volume 1 covers Angelina, Chambers, Jefferson, Nacogdoches, Newton, Orange, Polk and Tyler counties.  Volume 2 covers Hardin, Jasper, Liberty, Montgomery, Shelby, and Trinity counties. Volume 3 covers Cherokee, Harris, Houston, San Augustine, San Jacinto, and Walker counties.

Lufkin, Texas: Best of East Texas Publishers, 1994 (vol 1), 1995 (vol 2) and 1997 (vol 3)   All are 1st editions. 403 pages (vol 1), 399 pages (vol 2), and 369 pages (vol 3). All three are Hadcover with Dustjacket. All books and dustjackets are in FINE condition.
