A Hunting Legend, Recollections by and about the Great Hunter

Description Additional info Product reviews

Selous was a legendary hunter who was killed by a German sniper in World War I. This is the second book about Selous edited by Dr. Casada. It completes Casada’s work on Selous’ lost writing begun in Africa’s Greatest Hunter. Selous’ writings supplemented with Dr. Casada’s comments and biographical notes bring him to life. And some of Selous’ friends shed additional light on the man who inspired Sir Henry Rider Haggard to create Allan Quatermain, the protagonist in King Solomon’s Mines and several other works.

Long Beach: Safari Press, 2000. Later printing. 187 pages. Hardcover book with dustjacket, both NEAR FINE.
